A Complaint Letter

Dear Editor

I am writing to complain about the route of the No. 2 school bus. The long route has made my home journey a very unpleasant one.

First of all, it makes the journey long and boring. After school I leave the classroom and get on to the bus at three o'clock. It takes me an hour sitting in the school bus and doing nothing. I sometimes fall asleep while I am in the bus.

Moreover, some students are playing, shouting and even eating. They usually talk about what happen during the lessons. They are very noisy.

I think the school should cut the route short. So, students will spend less time in the school bus.

Present Perfect Tense

Use the present perfect tense to write the sentence if you see the adverbs: ever, since, for, already, just, almost, never, yet, before.

1. John (has read) the book already.
2. Mary ( has left) just the house.
3. Karen (hasn't come) yet.
4. I (have never visited) Malaysia.

Verbs

I bring an umbrella to school every day.
I brought the umbrella last week.
I have brought the umbrella to school for three weeks.
I am bringing my umbrella now.

The Little Monk, Ikkyu

Ikkyu is a little monk. He works in a temple. It is 1000 kilometers away from his home.

He usually starts meditation at 7 o'clock. He likes doing meditation near a botanic garden in the temple.

He becomes a good monk after doing the meditaion for three months.
