Students' Spare Time Activities

Students do many different things in their spare time. For example, they do arts, sports, play computer games, and read books. They think that they can learn new skills from them.

As for arts, some students learn to draw. Some learn to play drama, sing songs, and play piano.

As for sports, students play tennis, basket balls, and footballs. Some children like swimming, skipping, jogging and hiking.

As for reading, students love reading stories, newspapers, magazines, and books. Some students also like reading on the internet.

I like reading more than other activities. I think I can learn new things from books. Books are interesting to read.

A Complaint Letter

Dear Editor

I am writing to complain about the route of the No. 2 school bus. The long route has made my home journey a very unpleasant one.

First of all, it makes the journey long and boring. After school I leave the classroom and get on to the bus at three o'clock. It takes me an hour sitting in the school bus and doing nothing. I sometimes fall asleep while I am in the bus.

Moreover, some students are playing, shouting and even eating. They usually talk about what happen during the lessons. They are very noisy.

I think the school should cut the route short. So, students will spend less time in the school bus.

Yours faithfully,
Anson Cheung

The Frog Who Dreamt She Was an Opera Singer

There once was a frog
who dreamed she was an opera singer.
She wished so hard she grew along throat
and a beautiful polkadot green coat
and intense opera singer's eyes.
But she couldn't grow tall.
She just couldn't grow tall.
She leaped to the Queen Elizabeth Hall,
practising her sonata all the way.
Her voice was promising and lovely.
She couldn't wait to leapfrog onto the stage.
She had quite a presence on the stage.
All the audience in the Queen Elizabeth Hall,
gasped to see so small sing like that.
Her voice trembled and swelled
and filled with colour.
The frog was some opera singer.
